Email marketing firm Zustek has acquired interactive marketing firm Adverb Media. Together, the two will be called Zeta Interactive.

Adverb consists of DigitalGrit, a direct response and search marketing firm; Termel, a brand strategy and creative agency; and RelevantNoise, a social technology firm.

Zeta's marketing services will include email, search, social media mining, web development, and strategic and creative services.

The purchase comes a month after Zustek was acquired by Investcorp Technology Parnters.

Zeta CEO Al Diguido said the plan all along was to use the email marketing platform as the basis for an interactive company.
