Zoom's installation of high-quality digital displays in bars and restaurants represents the larger growth of out-of-home advertising, reports MediaPost.
The company is looking to create the largest out-of-home digital ad network in the country. Zoom has installed high-definition video displays in establishments throughout the country in bars and hotspots. The move is one designed to bring ads wherever anyone might be at any time.
The screens display everything from static ads to movie trailers to re-purposed TV spots. Zoom sells time on the screens no a flat per-screen basis, with programming repeating every five minutes or so throughout the day. The company also deals in street teams and other such experiential marketing that will likely be combined with the indoor screen ads.
