Latin America's top wireless operator, America Movil, announced its users will soon be able to watch YouTube videos on its phones, reports Reuters.
YouTube access will appear on 3G phones in Mexico before broadening to other parts of Latin America. The service hits Brazil in the first quarter of this year.
YouTube has local sites in 15 countries. Every minute, YouTube users around the globe upload 10 hours of video.
America Movil represents over 150 million mobile users from the US to Argentina. It operates in 15 Latin American countries outside its native Mexico.
In the US, YouTube is available on Apple's iPhone, some Helio devices, and on a handful of 3G handsets.
Last month saw the debut of YouTube for Mobile.
