Even tennis highlights created by sports fans aren't safe on YouTube, as the video-sharing site is pulling these user-generated clips at the request of tennis associations.Tennis Australia and the United States Tennis Association have both complained about the homemade video highlights from tennis tournaments that a fan created and uploaded to YouTube, The Register reports. The user's created highlights routinely ranked in the Top 20 daily most popular videos on the site, and some were even posted on the websites for major tennis players. YouTube complied with the requests, and removed the uploaded clips, and banned the user's account.
The user, who identifies himself as 'Erich', voices his frustration by adding that "Clearly they were determined to wipe out any information or material that could prove tennis still exists as a sport or, God forbid, could bring in new fans."
