Video-sharing site YouTube will be launching a brand channel for the NBA that will include original content from the league, as well as user-generated clips. Beginning this week, users can upload their best basketball moves to the NBA channel, WebProNews reports. The 10 best "Post Up the NBA" user-submitted videos will be part of a weekly highlight reel titled "NBA Top 10 on YoTube" and will be voiced-over by NBA personalities.
he NBA will also be participating in YouTube's "Claim Your Content" program, which will allow the league to identify copyrighted material as it is uploaded. Once a copyrighted clip is found, the league has the option to either have the video removed, or leave it on the site and share in the ad revenue it generates.
Additionally, Google and the NBA are testing the syndication of NBA content on Google's AdSense network.
