Yahoo Buys Email Search Firm Bloomba

CNET: Yahoo buys e-mail search companyjavascript:editPlacements()

Yahoo purchased Stata Labs, owner of the Bloomba email search software. The Bloomba application allows users to quickly locate content from filed emails and attachments. Yahoo reportedly will shelve the Bloomba brand and start anew with its underlying technology. The portal company previously announced it too will put out a desktop search application akin to Google's recent Desktop Search product.
