Yahoo has rolled out a new feature that lets users send text messages to cellphones via email, reports USA Today.

The new email-to-cell feature comes amid a slew of other new functionalities for Yahoo Mail. For example, mousing over addresses contained in an email will now expand details on address, phone number and more for that location.

Yahoo made the changes in response to consumer demand and the necessity of creating a one-stop space for information seekers.

With these upgrades, Yahoo Mail is now officially out of beta testing mode.
