Yahoo will integrate technology from the recently-acquired Maven Networks in a series of video ad offerings it has launched, reports Information Week.
The first format includes pre- or post-roll spots that, when moused over, bring up an overlay ad. Clicking on the overlay brings visitors to the advertiser's landing page.
The second format appears before the video is selected, using the same window the video will play in. After it plays, it slides above the video window and becomes a banner ad. Clicking on the ad pauses the video and launches an interactive message.
Yahoo now offers the new formats on videos across its network.
