Wieden + Kennedy has lured Renny Gleeson away from his post at Carat Fusion as SVP, managing director. Gleeson will serve as W+K's global director of digital strategies.
Starting Dec. 1, Gleeson will work with W+K's top clients on possible partnerships, as well as emerging media and creative, MediaPost reports. "The batch of clients that Wieden has is dead on for digital penetration and saturation, and the cross-pollination of their strengths," said Gleeson. "Bringing together EA's obvious expertise with videogames and ESPN is a great opportunity, I think."
Gleeson will also bring experience working in the sports world to W+K. He spent four years with the NBA as the senior director of global media and interactive marketing. In this role, he drove NBA/WNBA interactive sales and marketing efforts.
