Whose Blog Ad Revenue Is It, Anyway?

Chinese actress, celebrity and blogger Xu Jinglei is arguing that she has a right to a cut of the advertising revenue from her successful blog. But Chinese internet portal Sina.com, which hosts the blog, disagrees, writes the China Web2.0 Review (via Poynter Online). Only a 100 days after the launch of her blog, Xu gets about 10 million pageviews a day. Sina.com wants to keep the revenue because it provides the free hosting service. Xu wants a fair cut. Not surprisingly, popular support is behind her.
