When Polled, UK Women Prefer Shapely Figures to Slim Ones

Beckham camp betrays
fewer curves than bends

A survey conducted by YouGov plc found British women prefer the figures of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Charlotte Church to those of Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham.

The survey was conducted among 1,000 UK women over the ages of 18, between the 5th and 7th of September. The data was weighed as a representation of the population at large.

38 percent of women polled would be more comfortable with Zeta-Jones' buxom figure, with 8 percent stating a preference for Charlotte Church.

A paltry 2 percent liked the shape of supermodel Kate Moss' body, and 1 percent liked the beanpole figures of Jordan or Victoria Beckham.

When asked which aspects of their bodies the women were least happy with, results fell as follows:

  • Tummy, 75 percent
  • Legs, 35 percent
  • Derriere, 30 percent
  • Breasts, 25 percent

Meanwhile, 6 percent of women were reportedly satisfied with their bodies.

The survey was conducted by YouGov on behalf of Five.tv, which is promoting its new series My Body Hell, set to premiere on September 19th.
