WPP Group announced this week that Eric Wheeler, managing director of New York-based OgilvyInteractive, would be the North America CEO of its recently formed digital media unit, Neo@Ogilvy, and will oversee the integrated digital advertising programs of OgilvyOne, OgilvyInteractive, Ogilvy & Mather and Neo@Ogilvy, reports AdWeek. He will report to Neo@Ogilvy global CEO Nasreen Madhany.
"Digital media is a growth business and one that must be closely aligned to the strategic and creative process," Madhany said in a statement. Ogilvy formed Neo@Ogilvy after its mOne partnership with MindShare broke up last month.
Ogilvy said Ken Mandel, vice-president of digital, would become Asia-Pacific CEO for Neo@Ogilvy.
