What Would a Digital Shop Want with a Traditional Ad Firm?

We can all be friends

In an move admirably contrary to going trends, a digital-focused shop has acquired a traditional ad agency.

Digital shop Ascentium purchased miller.whiterunkle, a traditional ad agency with ties to a number of major consumer brands. Its 30 or so employees, including president Ed Miller, will stay on after the purchase, with Miller likely departing after six months.

The miller.whiterunkle agency name will be retained. Ascentium made the acquisition to show clients it understands the "bigger picture" surrounding advertising and marketing and is not just a digital player with no larger perspective.
