Week's Online Sales Over $1 Billion Again

Internet Retailer: Online sales rise 33% year-over-year for week ended June 20

comScore reported another week of greatly expanded e-commerce, with the week ending June 20 accounting for just over $1 billion in online retail transactions. That figure is a third larger than the same week last year, and makes for the second week in a row that 2004 e-commerce figures crossed back over the $1 billion mark. All of the other weeks this year registered more than $1 billion in sales, but for a fortnight starting in the last week of May.

Online travel was up only a bit from last year, registering a six percent gain to $923 million.
