Internet Retailer: Online retail sales growth cools off a bit as it rises 37%

After a couple weeks of unusually high growth, online retail sales for the week ending October 10 showed a 37 percent hike to $1.4 billion. Travel sales grew 46 percent, according to comScore, hitting $1.23 billion. comScore had reported retail growth rates of 61 and 53 percent in the two previous weeks, which was a significant break from the disappointing growth from the previous two quarters, which largely tracked with offline sales.
