Weekly Net Sales Figures Confirm Rosy Holiday Estimates

Internet Retailer's weekly report of e-commerce spending from comScore data shows that this year's Thanksgiving week showed a 36 percent gain on retail online sales, falling in line with the many, many corroborating figures research companies have been releasing over the holiday shopping season. Internet spending reached $1.66 billion, growing more than three times the rate holiday shopping grew generally. Online travel spending was also up 39 percent to $802 million.
