After WebMD's shares leaped 8 percent on Wednesday, analysts acknowledged chatter of late that Google may come a-wooing, reports CNN Money.

The rumors are not without merit. Google and Microsoft alike have been looking into opportunities to bring their online heft to healthcare, but face significant competition from WebMD, the current leader in the online healthcare market.
