Washington Post: Webby Awards Salute Online Originality

So, the Webby Awards, which canceled its meatspace ceremony a month ago, announced its web-only awards this weekend. *Yawn* No surprises: Google, eBay, Amazon… Am I alone in wondering whether these awards have outlived their usefulness? Here's a clue: the annoucement didn't even show up on Popdex (I would normally cite Daypop, but it's gone insane again lately, another possible lost cause).
