Watershed Publishing Takes Stake in Ad Critique Site

Watershed Publishing, LLC, the parent company of MarketingVox and a number of other B2B trade publications, has purchased minority interest marketing and advertising site Adrants.com.

Adrants receives 370,000 unique visits per month, and almost twice that many in page views. Last month the company officially launched AdGabber, a social networking site geared toward ad and marketing professionals.

Founder Steve Hall of Adrants also served the co-founder of Watershed Publishing's first website, which launched in 2002. He left Watershed in 2004.

Watershed Publishing is a privately-held firm that publishes titles in the marketing, healthcare and defense sectors. It also manages advertising for other websites, including Adrants.

The purchase consists of cash, equity and sales commission concessions and values Adrants at about $750,000. It is expected to finalize at November's end.
