Videos that go viral usually have one of two traits: they are funny or they are about sports. So one would conclude after viewing more than 120 clips of global videos whose popularity took off on the Internet. Other common characteristics to these videos, which were compiled and ranked by Advertising Age and Visible Measures, was the fact that many, but not all, were in the English language and most used relatively unknown actors.
