Nothing gets people drooling faster than an industry with good multiples on valuation, and the search space is so hot, the multiples are getting impressive. Lots of companies are hoping to live the Google dream of inventing a better technology and eating up the market. The venture capital influx is lining the halls at SES and other search conferences, hoping to figure out which of these companies are "me too" and which have solid businesses.
