The world's largest retailer of DVDs is now making its entry into movie downloads - with help from Superman.

Wal-Mart has debuted an exclusive DVD/download bundle for Superman Returns, PaidContent reports. The bundle will include the DVD, along with the option to download Superman Returns in one of three forms: for portable players, for $1.97, PCs and laptops for $2.97, or both download options for $3.97. Customers can log into www.walmart.com/superman, enter the promotional code from the DVD cover's "feature sticker," and select a download option.

Wal-Mart plans to offer similar bundle packages in the future, as well as a beta version of its movie download service, which will offer both movie and television content.

The retailer already has measures in place to keep customers from sharing downloads with others. "You can backup your videos to DVD, but they will only play on a PC with the corresponding license. They will not play on other PCs or DVD players," a company FAQ states.
