Wal-Mart has begun selling DRM-free songs through its online music store, reports The Associated Press.
The songs sold through walmart.com will be playable on most any portable music player, including Apple's ubiquitous iPod. The songs are priced at $.94
Wal-Mart's physical and online storefronts will be the only place consumers can buy the first single from the upcoming album from The Eagles. This is the first new record from the reunited rockers in 28 years. The release is the length of a double-album, topping out at about 20 tracks.
The price, however, will be comparable to a single CD.
