Wal-Mart will reopen its $580 million creative and media account review, and IPG's DraftFCB, recently selected by the now-ousted Julie Roehm to handle creative duties, will not be eligible to participate, writes AdAge, quoting Wal-Mart spokeswoman Mona Williams.
The review by Wal-Mart is expected to conclude by the end of January.
Aegis Group's Carat, which won Wal-Mart's media buying and planning duties, will be eligible to participate, and Wal-Mart is "open to another IPG agency," Williams is quoted as saying.
Roehm, former SVP of marketing communication, left earlier this week amid widespread rumors. The loss of the account is a big blow to the newly merged DraftFCB.
