Poor weather never stops
the dedicated 'Voyeur'
HBO Voyeur, a multi-platform series of tenement tales by BBDO/NY, won two Grand Prix awards — in outdoor and in sales promotions — at the Cannes International Advertising Festival.
The project was also garnished with awards at One Show in May.
Voyeur first appeared on the side of a building in New York, lending the impression that passers-by could see what was happening inside. View part of the storyline. Bystanders were also given cards, which they could hold up to their eyes to see hidden details of the plots. Stories were further developed online.
Other Cannes awards were given for top radio, outdoor and media campaigns. Dentsu Tokyo won a grand prix in radio for its EOS Kiss digital camera work (client: Canon Japan). See an English translation of the ad.
For client Anheuser-Busch, DDB Chicago won three Cannes golds in the radio category. The grand prix for media was given to Swedish agency Forsman & Bodenfors for its work with AMF Pension, reports the Guardian.
Gold in the Cyber Lion category went to Fabiano de Queiroz Silva and Marcela Mariano Dias, Adland writes.
