TiVo's rapid transformation into a media/communications portal continues with its announcement of new online services that extend its reach into e-commerce - in this case, t-commerce - MediaPost writes (via MediaBuyerPlanner). Subscribers using TiVo's Series2 digital video recorder can now search local movie listings, purchase tickets (through Fandango), download music, podcasts and exchange Yahoo photos. To take advantage of the new features, subscribers must connect their TiVo units to a broadband connection.

Earlier this week TiVo announced that it is about to cut a deal with ad agencies to allow users to search for ads, via keywords, for products they're interested in.
