Vogue will follow the lives of three young women as they enter the world of top modeling, pulling video together for a web-based reality series called Model.Live, reports MediaBuyerPlanner.
Clothing retailer Express, LLC paid in the low seven figures to serve as lead sponsor of the series.
Model.Live consists of 12 eight-minute episodes. The first will debut Aug. 19, on-demand on Vogue.tv, writes the Wall Street Journal. The show will also be syndicated on Veoh.com and Hulu.com, with updates and the opportunity to interact with the models on AOL-owned Bebo.com.
Express will stock the closets of the models with its clothing — though the models will not be required to wear the togs — and viewers can click a link to purchase the clothes during the show. The company was guaranteed 83.4 million impressions on Bebo.com over the three months the show will air.
At a cost of $3 million, the series is among the biggest-budget web-TV projects to date.
