Vodafone, Other Brands Shrink Sites for UK Mobile Customers

British wireless carrier Vodafone has teamed with a slew of top online brand names to deliver services to UK mobile users, said BusinessWeek.
The carrier has signed deals with AOL, eBay, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo and MySpace to make web-surfing on mobile phones a much easier experience. Customers will be able to access search, use web-mail, place online bids and more through the new carriage deal.

Pricing is based on the amount of data downloaded in a month, but Vodafone says all these services will be accessible on phones people already have.

Vodafone's service can shrink a regular Webpage by up to ten times to accommodate a phone's screen.
