Another virtual world
Children's virtual world MinyanLand aspires to teach kids aged three to six about finance.
The world is free of join and allows kids to rent apartments. Later, they can upgrade to homes in high-profile neighborhoods. They can also invest in the stock market and hold jobs.
Launched in beta January 30, MinyanLand is a partnership between the National Council on Economic Education, financial infotainment company Minyanville, and family site network Kaboose, reports ClickZ.
The world hopes to monetize with integration from real world brands. Financial institutions, for example, may appear in MinyanLand as virtual banks.
