Virtual Salesgirls Convince Waffling Consumers to Make a Deal

Rina has a deal for you

For e-tailers that suffer from shopping cart abandonment — or consumers that spend too much time contemplating a purchase — a virtual salesgirl with a perky name and a handy discount might just close the sale.

That's the hope of intellichat, which vends 24-hour virtual salesgirls with names like Rina or Summer, reputed to increase sales "by as much as 30 percent" instantly.

"[Your] virtual sales agent [is] custom tailored to your site, working 24/7 to offer a small incentive whenever a potential customer chooses to leave," said Online Marketing Exective Maxwell Clements.

"This has been proven to instantly increase sales by as much 30% — if not more."

The virtual associates are built with artificial intelligence software from Justdevelopit, a six-month-old technology company. When the software senses a transaction delay, it launches a chat and offers the customer a privileged discount, reports The Daily Echo.

"Our save-a-sale agents are stunning to look at, with one side effect: they are receiving attention from cyber admirers who … want to form a relationship with them," boasted Justdevelopit's Brooke Bryan.

On a more professional note, the virtual agents "are now saving close to a million dollars a month in potential lost revenue for our clients, who typically sell high volume sales products like green tea and diet pills."
