Viacom is touting an upfront deal that claims it will double an existing advertiser's current spending, reports ClickZ.
The deal was announced as part of a conference call where Viacom went over various plans for its digital offerings in the near future. While the advertiser is unnamed, Viacom says the relationship is solely digital, though the advertiser in question is also a major TV buyer.
Viacom also announced major expansions to its online offerings. The media giant is planning to build "hundreds" of websites associated with its TV shows and characters, as well as other related topics.
That major online build-out could result in significant video inventory through which Viacom could sell advertising.
Viacom also plans to add to its casual gaming and mobile offerings, investing $100 million on the production of the former.
