Viacom Makes Videos Available Online

MTV content
hitting the web

Viacom's MTV Networks will make video content available on five online video services in addition to Comcast's video site.

Dailymotion, GoFish, iMeem, MeeVee, and Veoh Networks signed agreements with MTVN on Tuesday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Though it's still early to pass judgment, digital distribution seems to be working for Viacom. According to Reuters, online distribution of clips and entire shows has helped Viacom's TV ratings reboundĀ  in the fourth quarter.

And unlike most other major media companies, which saw their stocks fall in 2007, Viacom shares rose 7 percent.
