Game developer and producer 10tacle Studios and Viacom Germany, owner of MTV Germany, have announced that they will launch an ambitious multiuser 3D world in 2008, writes Next Generation.
10tacle will handle the implementation and operation of the 3D online world, which will offer a range of online games, while MTV will manage target group communication and content editorial preparation.
A five-year licensing agreement with the option of an extension will initially cover Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with other European and some Asian countries set to follow.
10tacle Studios will establish new in-house resources for the development of the 3D online world and the games to be marketed on the platform, with approximately $26.7 million in total revenue expected from its contract production of the project.
