VH1's multi-platform strategy continues with VSPOT, a new online broadband entertainment network, reports Brandweek (via MediaBuyerPlanner). The site will launch with a premier of The Surreal Life 5, three days before the show kicks off on television.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond, BBC Three will be streaming via broadband its new comedy series, The Mighty Boosh, starting July 19, a week before its TV transmission - and said it plans to premiere other comedies via broadband in the coming months - reports NetImperative.

But wait, there's more: The U.K.'s Channel 4 is planning to stream all of its TV programming via its website at the same time as it is aired on TV, again according to NetImperative. C4 plans to launch the effort by the end of 2005.

The new VH1 network will offer three channels with content such as exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from VH1's TV shows, musical performances, and programming around upcoming films. Viewers can choose a linear experience or video-on-demand.
