CNET: VeriSign Sticks With Redirect Service

While it will address technical concerns, VeriSign said today it will stick with its controversial plan to redirect incorrectly entered Internet addresses to its SiteFinder service. The plan has raised the ire of sysadmins who claim the change reeks havoc with email systems and of others who question the validity of VeriSign potentially capitalizing on this mis-directed traffic.
