IAR: VeriSign Shuts Down Site Finder

VeriSign has confirmed it will shut down its Site Finder service in response to requests from the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. VeriSign's Site Finder service redirected incorrectly entered domain names to its own pages which raised the ire of many in the industry.
