VeriSign on Monday confirmed that it had acquired Moreover Technologies, an aggregator of real-time content for websites, search engines and enterprise customers, in an anticipated deal worth about $30 million in cash, reports Reuters. VeriSign said the deal combines privately held Moreover's links to more than 12,000 news sources and millions of blogs with VeriSign's information delivery technology.
"By combining Moreover's content aggregation services with VeriSign’s global feed management infrastructure, VeriSign will offer bloggers, publishers, enterprises and web portals a more intelligent and scalable, real-time content platform," Verisign said.
The deal follows VeriSign's $2.3 million purchase last week of Weblogs Inc. Moreover's customers include MSN, AskJeeves and BBC.
