Various Engines Send Searchers to Different Types of Shops

Hitwise reports that traffic to shopping sites peaked as a percentage of all web traffic on December 11, the plurality of them coming from Google referrals. Interestingly, the different search engines threw their traffic to different sorts of shopping sites. Google favored books, fitness and music. Yahoo's search favored videos, games, automotive and classifieds. MSN's search sent people to apparel, home and garden and electronics stores.
