Users Prefer Paying for Ad-Free Video

According to a survey from Starcom, consumers prefer paying for ad-free mobile video content rather than downloading free ad-supported video to devices like cell phones or iPods, reports MediaWeek (via MediaBuyerPlanner). Nearly 70 percent users would rather download ad-free content. Were they to receive ad-supported content, most consumers would prefer to pay less. Other recent research has indicated consumers are willing to be exposed to ads in on-demand content if the content is free.
