Interpublic Group, in conjunction with video-sharing sites, conducted a survey regarding user-generated content, specifically online video, for a report that profiles online multimedia creators and recommends approaches for advertisers.
According to Interpublic's Emerging Media Lab, nearly three-quarters of who publish online video content are under 25; of those, 86 percent are male, reports ClickZ. Up to 73 percent of video producers notice internet advertising - much more that the male 18-24-year-old demo in general. Some 57 percent of the content creators are willing to feature brands in their videos; many already have. Personal recognition is a motivation for 62 percent; 60 percent cite remuneration.
