With a greater emphasis on social media and tools for travelers, USAToday.com has debuted its new-look travel section, which also offers more choices to advertisers.
With the tagline "Explore. Go. Share." USAToday is adding more blogs and placing a greater emphasis on comments and feedback from visitors in an effort to increase user interaction on the site's travel section, MediaPost explains. The Flight Center in the travel section will also feature tools such as a flight-tracker and Wi-Fi locator.
The revamped site also comes with new opportunities for advertisers, such as becoming exclusive sponsors of the section, the ability to sponsor RSS feeds and interactive city maps (indicating the advertiser's location), as well as offering expandable billboard units on the section's front page.
