MediaWeek reports that 800,000 copies of the latest issue of YM Your Prom will be destroyed after it was found that one of the ads contained a URL typo that leads to a child pornography site. Parent company Fairchild Publications decided to pull the issue off newsstands when it discovered that an ad for dressmaker Studio 17 contained the error. The advertisers made the same mistake in its own catalog as well as ads appearing in Hearst's Teen Prom. Hearst, for its part, didn't see the big deal, and currently has 600,000 copies of its book on the market now.
