Universal Says 'Oh Yeah?,' Sues Veoh

It's a brawling week for
media entities

Coming just weeks after a legal move by Veoh, Universal Music has sued the video site for copyright infringement, reports Bloomberg.

Universal Music cited old-school foe Napster in its suit, which claims Veoh and its management are financially responsible for allowing copyright infringement to take place.

Just last month Veoh sought a court injunction against such lawsuits.

In its court filing, the site said it takes action to prevent and remove copyrighted material from being hosted on Veoh.

The flippant cross-suing comes only a day after a public spat between iTunes and NBCU was abruptly put to rest.
