U.K. Net Spending Up 76 Percent

Revolution: Online to pass £500m in 2004 as adspend grows 76%

British online advertising is beginning to boom in a similar proportion to that of the U.S. In the first half of 2004, marketers spent the equivalent of $478 million in U.K. online advertising, crossing the mark of three percent of all marketing spending. The figure represents a 76 percent growth over 2003 figures. If growth rates continue as predicted, internet spending will soon eclipse the spending on radio in Britain.
