A federal prosecutor yesterday indicted two former AOL executives, along with four people associated with PurchasePro.com, a company that allegedly went along with AOL's scheme to inflate its apparent advertising revenues. Former business affairs executive Kent Wakeford and former vice president in AOL's NetBusiness unit John Tuli stand charged with conspiracy and securities fraud charges. For its part, AOL settled similar charges recently.
