As more people turn to social media to find jobs, and conversely, human resource departments to find applicants, analytical and segmenting tools are emerging that can more easily narrow the search process - and in some cases offer potential ad placement opportunities as well.
The most recent example is TwitJobSearch, a desktop client launched by TwitJobSearch, a Twitter-based real-time job search engine and TweetDeck. The application uses the same technology as TwitJobSearch, indexing job-search related tweets (via ClickZ).
The TwitJobSearch itself offers advertisers the ability to purchase premium, or "Tweetured" job listings, sold on a CPC basis, with current advertisers including such brands as Adidas, KFC, and Lloyds Banking Group. However, at the moment the JobDeck application itself does not have any premium ad opportunities, according to ClickZ.
SAP Consultants Wanted
The LinkedIn Recruiter Basic Starter Package tool was unveiled by SAP last year after it, along with several venture firms, funded LinkedIn with $23 million. It lets SAP channel partners that serve small-and-midsized businesses search for talent among some 140,000 SAP consultants with LinkedIn profiles, writes InformationWeek, demonstrating "a smart use of LinkedIn, which is more likely to expose an individual's professional skills and credentials than Facebook or Twitter."
Digital Rehiring to Begin
