TV Industry Reduces Rate of Content Creation

MediaWeek reports that NATPE, once a must-attend conference for the most senior ad executives, where broadcasters give glimpses of upcoming TV content, will set a record this week for the lowest number of strips of first-run content. The TV producers simply aren't making as much programming, and the new stuff they are making tends to feature talking heads, like a new Robin Quivers show, a Tyra Banks show, a new Suze Orman show and a couple legal-oriented talkies featuring the likes of Kato Kaelin and another propped up by an actual Florida circuit court judge.
