Tribune Interactive, a subsidiary of the Tribune Company, has acquired ForSaleByOwner.com, a real estate website that connects buyers and sellers via residential property listings, reports Reuters. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. ForSaleByOwner had more than 1.6 million average monthly unique visitors in 2005.

The site offers buying and selling advice, information on moving services and home inspections, and financial services, including mortgage applications and calculators.

Tribune Interactive manages the Tribune Company's online operations for newspapers, including The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times and The Baltimore Sun.
