Internet Retailer: eBay leads all online shopping sites in number of visitors, study says
Nielsen's AdRelevance reports that the most commonly seen consumer goods advertisers on the web include many names that might surprise many in the Internet marketing field. The list notes the top ten advertisers by impressions received, rather than by spending, allowing some media companies and direct response firms - typically those that get the best deals on an impression or barter basis - to rise to the top. Nestle topped the list with 312 million impressions.
The other nine, in order, were Adolf Coors, PepsiCo, Dennis Publishing, IncreaseYourHealth.com, Avon, Life Script Nutrition Research, The New York Times, Dow Jones & Co. and Philips Electronics.
