Google has been periodically producing a web series called Web Analytics TV. Hosted by Avinash Kaushik and Nick Mihailovski, the duo ask viewers to vote on their favorite web analytics questions, which they then answer. Recent subjects include how to track un-subscriptions with negative values; best practices tracking social media; sources of keywords outside of Paid Search to help site optimization; custom reports sorted by dates; tracking form validation with Google Analytics; why Exit Rate is 0% in the Google Analytics navigation summary report and tips to avoid sampling on landing pages.
Google has added real-time web analytics to Blogger. The new functionality is already enabled for all blogs - visit draft.blogger.com to access blog stats.
Quantivo, and on-demand behavioral analytics vendor, and Semphonic, a web analytics consultancy, have partnered to provide marketers with a turn-key behavioral analytics service.

The University of San Francisco and the Interactive Advertising Bureau have entered into a partnership. Through it, IAB members who complete USF's online Master Certificate in Internet Marketing program will receive 24 of the required 40 hours toward IAB's Certificate in Interactive Advertising. USF's Master Certificate in Internet Marketing covers several online marketing strategies, including website usability, search engine optimization (SEO), paid search, Internet media, Web analytics, social media, mobile, email and affiliate marketing.

ForeSee Results has added a Social Media Value Calculation to its core product offering, allowing ForeSee Results' clients to understand the impact of their social media marketing efforts on revenue. Using a proprietary methodology created at the University of Michigan to measure customer satisfaction and assess its impact on future behaviors, ForeSee Results has developed a way to link influences on customer visits to a website, store or call center with what they actually spend. This so-called Social Media Value Calculation helps businesses understand how much revenue is being influenced by social media versus traditional advertising, marketing emails, brand awareness and other factors.
Dailymotion, a Web video site, has launched its bit.ly-powered URL shortener, dai.ly. The dai.ly short domain will enhance Dailymotion's viral distribution and help advertisers take advantage of Dailmotion's viral sharing audience using short URLs. It will also enable advertisers to create recognizable short URLs with brand names and keywords - as an example it points to the City of Scars short films web site URL, which was shortened to http://dai.ly/cityofscars.
E-mail Marketing
Email Transmit and AllWebEmail are among the first providers to adopt the new set of email marketing measurement standards called the Support Adoption of Metrics for Email (SAME) developed by the Email Experience Council. The new standards provide more insight into the results of a campaign and paint a more accurate picture of campaign performance, EEC says. It is urging Email Service Providers (ESPs) to adopt these new standards in order to have a common set of definitions industry-wide.
